Build a Life That’s Yours, Too
Personal development for single mums ready to move beyond survival and rebuild their confidence, wellbeing and independence — one meaningful step at a time.
If you’ve spent so long looking after everyone else that you’ve almost forgotten what you want from your own life, you’re in the right place.

You Can Love Your Children and Still Want More for Your Own Life
Single motherhood can make you incredibly capable.
You learn to keep going. You work, parent, organise, make decisions, manage the home and carry responsibilities that might once have been shared.
But somewhere amongst all that coping, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.
Perhaps life is no longer falling apart, but it doesn’t quite feel like yours either. You’re tired of simply getting through the week. You want to feel healthier, more confident and more secure. You want time for things that matter to you. Perhaps you’re thinking about your career, finances, friendships, relationships or what you want the next chapter of your life to look like.
That’s what Lily in Bloom is about.
Not creating a perfect life.
Creating a life in which you matter too.
Where Are You Right Now?
Rebuilding doesn’t look the same for everyone. Sometimes you’re simply trying to get through a difficult season. Sometimes you’re ready to make changes. And sometimes you finally have enough breathing room to ask what you actually want.
🌱 Survive
“I need life to feel manageable again.”
You may be dealing with heartbreak, loneliness, exhaustion, financial pressure or the sheer weight of doing so much yourself.
Right now, the priority isn’t reinventing your life. It’s creating some stability.

🌿 Rebuild
“I’m ready to make my life better.”
Life may be more stable now, but you’re beginning to think about you again.
This is the stage of rebuilding confidence, rediscovering your identity, creating better routines, looking after your wellbeing and deciding what you want your life to become.

🌸 Bloom
“I want to create more than a life I can cope with.”
Blooming isn’t about reaching some perfect version of yourself.
It’s about creating more choice: meaningful work, financial security, good relationships, hobbies, health, friendship, travel, creativity, a home you enjoy and experiences that make life feel fuller.

The Self-Led Single Mum Method™
One of the things I’ve learned through rebuilding my own life is that trying to change everything at once usually leaves you feeling even more overwhelmed.
That’s why I created the Self-Led Single Mum Method™ — a simple framework for taking greater ownership of the direction of your life without expecting yourself to do everything alone.
It comes back to four ideas:
S — Stabilise what feels overwhelming.
E — Examine what you need and what you want.
L — Lead yourself by taking the next meaningful step.
F — Flourish by making room for joy, connection, purpose and freedom as well as responsibility.
You won’t move through these stages perfectly or only once. Life changes. Sometimes we need to stabilise again before we can move forward.
The point isn’t to transform everything overnight.
It’s to keep taking meaningful steps in the direction of the life you want.
Hi, I’m Lily

I became a single mum during pregnancy, when the future I’d imagined suddenly changed.
Like many women, I focused on what needed to be done. I raised my child, worked, paid the bills and gradually built a secure life for us.
I became very good at carrying responsibility.
But eventually I realised something: surviving your life and consciously creating it aren’t quite the same thing.
I’m now in my own Rebuild chapter — thinking more deliberately about my wellbeing, work, confidence, relationships, home, freedom and what I want the next stage of my life to look like.
I created Lily in Bloom to share what I’ve learned, what is helping me now and what I’m still figuring out — alongside practical resources for other single mothers who want to build lives in which they matter too.
